Drogheda Samba Festival 2011

MaSamba’s annual pilgrimage to the banks of the Boyne is almost here, and this year, we are headlining the Saturday night gig in the Purple Room.

The ‘Global Grooves’ shows at the Purple Room have become the official festival fringe, and feature some of the best percussion acts from around the country each year. For our show we will be supported by our friends from Belfast, Beat n Drum, who will play late, late into the night!

We will also be leading out the annual festival parade on Sunday afternoon (no matter what state our heads are in), and will be bringing our ‘Bloco Afro Brasil’ street show out for the people of Drogheda – looking forward to it!

Also, we will be on TV3’s ‘Ireland AM’ this morning (Friday 24th June, to promote the festival. We should be on around 9.55am, so keep an eye out for us!
