Samba’s Little Helpers!

This is always a fun time of year in the Masamba camp, with lots of Christmas -themed events on the agenda!

This week alone, we have no less than 8 events, including workshops, rehearsals and shows, with a variety of groups we work with. On top of that, we are still setting up our new rehearsal space, which will probably take months, but it will all be worth it.

With all the positive developments and thoughts of the future, it is also important to remember our own roots and where we came from, and it was great to have a few minutes this week to drop up to the graveside of our friend and mentor, Peter Keenan, to pay our respects, exchange a few stories, and kind of check in with him. We know that he would be so excited by the new building, and the impending adventure of doing it up.

Finally, our week will end with the annual Masamba Christmas drinks, in our old haunt, The Gingerman! It has been so hectic, that we haven’t seen some band members in several weeks, so it will be an excellent opportunity to catch up, and share a drink (or two)!
