Next Thursday, we are hosting a workshop with Emilio Martins from Sao Paulo, Brasil.

Emilio Martins is a percussionist, composer, and producer from Sao Paulo, Brasil, who has performed and recorded with many well know Brasilian artists.
Emilio visits Ireland to make a presentation on Afro Brasilian percussion to the prestigious International Rhythmic Studies Association Conference, and is staying to deliver one workshop for Irish samba players, based on modern interpretations of Samba Afro rhythms.
The workshop is open to intermediate and advanced level percussionists and the instrumentation will be surdo, caixa, repinique, timbau, chocalho and congas.
The session takes place from on Thursday 8th July, 6.30-9.30pm at MaSamba’s rehearsal space in the Liberties. Participants must provide their own instruments. The workshop will cost €25, payable in full in advance.
