‘The Boys Are Back In Town’ – only one week ago…

It has been a surreal week in MaSamba with that anti-climactic feeling that always follows big events.

‘The Boys Are Back In Town’ went extremely well, and the feedback from the public and professionals alike has been very positive. With the costumes and drums put away, and the rehearsal space more or less back to normal, it has been time to review all the great partnerships created throughout the project, and to get busy tidying up all the paperwork, financial stuff, and genuine thank-yous to a great team.

Also, we received all the paperwork from Fund:it last night, so we finally know who all our generous doners are, what they donated, and what we need to do for them in return. We will get into that next week, and try to get the rewards out within a week, as it is the least we can do for a great team of people.

Also, it is back to normal in terms of taking bookings, organising ‘normal’ rehearsals and also planning a  new beginners course in samba drumming, which will start on September 20th – more about that in coming days!
