We are always open to inviting guests into our rehearsals who can add some new information, and this week, we are delighted to have achieved just that!
Kicking off proceedings will be Derek Bolger, chief percussion instructor with the Army Music School. Derek is a long time friend and collaborator with MaSamba, and will be delivering an input on sticking rudiments, and notation for percussion music.
Later in the evening, John Cass and Brian Coffey of Hearing Protection Ireland will give us an input on some of the common issues which face musicians working in loud environments and how we can deal with them. This information is a vital to us drummers, and this will be a timely input.
Even after all that, we will also have a little time to get some drumming done – Roll on Wednesday!
