Go on the MaSamba Volunteers!

We have had a busy week ‘behind the scenes’ this week, in that we have been doing a massive amount of work to erecting new shelving and re-organising the rehearsal space to give us a little more room for manoeuvre!

On Tuesday and Wednesday, several members of the band were in working away, and while there is some more work to be done, the place looks better already!

This coincided nicely with the first Dublin City Volunteer Week (http://www.dublinvolunteerweek.com/index.html), which has been organised by Volunteering Ireland and Dublin City Council to celebrate and promote the work of volunteers in making Dublin a great place to live.

As so much of MaSamba’s work is only possible through having a network of active volunteers, we decided to hold an impromptu pizza party after rehearsals. It was only a small gesture, but I think we all appreciated it. Thanks also to Domino’s Pizza for the great discounts!
