Universal to the Rescue

We received some excellent news today, in that Universal Music (Ireland) are giving us €5,000 towards our pageant ‘The Boys Are Back In Town’. This is fantastic news, and on top of the great results of our Fund:It campaign, we are almost over the line with our funding for the project, and Universal (who are, of course, Thin Lizzy’s label) making such a generous contribution, is a double award.

Firstly, the money is very useful, and means we won’t be too far in debt at the end of this project, but, perhaps more importantly, it is a great vote of confidence in our efforts to remember the life and work of Phil Lynott and Thin Lizzy.

Our last fundraising effort is tomorrow night – a great table quiz in the famous Bruxelles Bar on Harry Street. We have some amazing prizes on offer for the winning tables and the winners of the raffle, as well as some great spot prizes for best rock costumes, etc. Jenni has been working hard, to come up with some great questions and while there is a general theme of Phil Lynott and Thin Lizzy running through the quiz, you really don’t need to be an expert to enter.  The event kicks off at 7.30pm tomorrow night, costs €10 per person, and should be a lot of craic!

Also, our T-Shirts arrived this evening, and they look great! There is only one photo of a very tired Simeon so far to ‘model’ them, but hopefully, we’ll get a couple more snaps tomorrow.

Gorgeous Model Simeon in the new 'Boys Are Back In Town' T-shirt - these will be on sale at the table quiz and on the day of the gig itself!
