Dudu Tucci Confirmed for May Visit

We are delighted to announce that Dudu Tucci will be re-visiting our shores at the end of May, to complete a very interesting project with our youth wing. Last year, we were lucky enough to receive a grant under the Young Ensembles Scheme, organised by the Arts Council, whereby, we could work to improve technical skills within the group, such as reading, rudiments, etc.

The second part of the project is working with Dudu to put together a new piece of music, using these newly learned skills, and of course, the good old-fashioned method of intensive playing over a busy weekend. After much consultation over schedules, we have finally settled on the 28th and 29th May, as the workshop dates, and everyone is looking forward to a great weekend!

There may also be the possibility for an open workshop over that weekend, so if anyone is interested, please get in touch at info@masamba.com/01-4163901.

The Young Ensembles Scheme is currently inviting proposals from any group of young people working in the Arts. More details here.
