May Mayhem!

May-June is always a somewhat chaotic time in the Masamba camp. As the school year draws to a close, we receive many requests for one-off visits to deliver workshops and participate in multicultural events - all perfect work for us, but involving lots of travel and set up. In the last couple of weeks, we have delivered workshops all around Dublin, as well as visiting Mullingar, Bantry, Edenderry and Longwood, with further visits to Kildare and Meath in the offing.

It has been getting busier on the gig front too, with recent shows in Ringsend and the Liberties and several Dublin events over the next few weeks, including a return to the Dublin Pride Parade, this time in partnership with Cognizant.

Behind the scenes too, we have been busy with a complete tidy up in our rehearsal space, as well as some serious instrument maintenance. As we reach the end of a school year, there are always repairs and replacements needed, and we have been doing the best we can, and hoping that a funding application we have in will generate some funds to allow us to replenish stocks before September.

Below are some random images from the last few weeks - most of them are self explanatory!
