New additions to the Masamba team!

It’s been some time since we had time to post to our website, but there has been plenty going on in the background.

At board level, we said a fond farewell to Ray Corcoran, who has served Masamba in a number of roles for many years. While Ray has always been on hand to provide advice and practical support, his schedule as a senior youth worker has made it increasingly difficult for him to attend Board meetings. Thankfully, he will remain on in an informal role to advise on youth work issues. We sincerely thanks Ray for all his supports over the years.

As one door closes, another opens, and we are delighted to welcome Anita Reilly to our Board of Directors. Anita has been a supporter of our work in the Liberties for over 20 years, and is very active in her local community with a wide range of interests and connections in the local arts community. We are sure that Anita will support our work in the Liberties and build new connections for Masamba. At the start of the month, we added new firepower to our staff lineup in the form of Marcio Carvalho da Silva. We have worked informally with Marcio on many projects in recent years, and he has always approached his work in a highly positive and professional manner. We are delighted that Marcio is joining our panel of full time music tutors, and look forward to integrating him into the team over the next few months.
