Welcome Dan Whelan

We'd like to introduce you to the newest addition to our workshop team: Dan Whelan. Dan joined our team at the beginning of the month, and has slowly been introduced to the many aspects of Masamba's work. Thankfully, he hasn't made a break for the exit door just yet;-)

Dan has a vast amount of experience in the Jazz world and recently worked in Uganda with the Saved By Music Foundation' You will be hearing a lot more about Dan on these pages, but for the moment, we'll let him speak for himself:

'I am a professional musician with extensive experience performing, teaching and working within the events and music industry. I am passionate about sharing knowledge, facilitating collaborative projects, and making music education enjoyable and accessible for everybody. I am always eager to use my professional skills to contribute creatively to the projects I am a part of, to learn and develop musically through collaboration and to guide and support others wherever appropriate. My experience within the NGO sector working directly at the community level, particularly with at risk youth, has had a significant impact on my approach to my work and has led me to explore further opportunities for engaging with community focused, person centered projects.'

A sincere welcome for Dan to the Masamba team!
