
Job Title – Music Tutor
Mission
To maintain the high-quality musical and educational standards of Masamba Samba School
To promote the work of Masamba to potential clients and partners
The successful candidate will be an experienced musician with a commitment to participative learning methodologies and an enthusiasm for sharing skills and knowledge.
Responsibilities
Provision of musical inputs/training for Masamba Community Band
Provision of musical inputs/training for Masamba Youth Project
Performance at public events
Deliver workshops to external groups, as required
Contribute to training plan for the membership of Masamba, in partnership with the Musical Director
Develop learning resources for the Masamba Community Band, as required
Participate in training activities, as required
Logging activities carried out during band rehearsals and external workshops
Responding to queries to the office, and providing quotations for performances and workshops, as necessary
Maintain office paperwork, such as booking sheets, time sheets, project reports, etc.
Marketing & Development Support
Assist in the development of marketing strategies targetting our core markets, and potential new markets.
Represent Masamba at meetings, seminars, conferences, as required
Internal Communications
Participate in staff meetings, as required
Participate in band meetings, as required
Attend board meetings, as required
Participate in staff appraisals
A full clean Irish driving license would be considered is desirable.
All staff may be required to carry out additional duties by the Board of Directors, as required
This position is funded through the Community Services Programme, an initiative of the Department of Rural and Community Affairs. The following target groups are a priority in terms of employment of people under the Community Services Programme:

Hours: 37.5 hours
Salary: €25,750.00 + top-up
Reports to: Masamba Manager and/or Board of Directors
